mba course in India, Delhi Educational Institute, Deiedu in
Counseling Education and Supervision Program, a distance education program at
Deiedu at Regent University, offers students from all over the world the unique
opportunity to obtain a bachelor's and master's degree in online counseling,
education and supervision. Being an educational counseling program, students
must complete tasks that include simulations and real counseling sessions, as
well as other projects and course presentations. In the past, Deiedu students
sent these assignments, in the form of PowerPoint presentations, Word documents
or videos on computer discs, CDs or videotapes, to their teachers by email or
by mail.
This process had many challenges. The articles did not always arrive on
time. Sometimes the instructors could not open or play the media because they
did not have the right software or equipment, or because the media had become
corrupted in some way. It was difficult for teachers to give feedback to
students. In addition, students did not have a record that recorded their
experiences in their program, in a form they could use to promote themselves. The
school also hoped to document student learning for accreditation.
In 2003, the faculty of the Deiedu program and the dean of the School
of Counseling decided to add an e-Portfolio component to their program, hoping
to solve these problems. However, they soon realized that there should also be
a system to help students create media and how to transfer and store their
electronic wallet content. Without such a system, the company must continue to
rely on email and the postal service to provide work for students.
